In order to give you Perks like early access to your earned pay and smart saving tools, Exhale needs to be able to "talk" to your paycheck.
When you connect your paycheck, you allow your employer's payroll system to send your direct deposit to Exhale so that Exhale can offer you personalized benefits. You also allow Exhale to send your updated paycheck, including any earnings or rewards, to your personal bank account.
You can think of Exhale as a layer in between your employer's payroll system and your bank account that gives you access to personalized perks and makes managing your personal finances easier. 🙌
I've connected my paycheck, now what?
Once you're connected and everything's verified, you can start using Perks!
Before your next payday, your direct deposit will be sent from payroll to your personal Exhale account. Exhale uses a special kind of account that securely holds funds for a short amount of time while we account for any Perks you've used.
For example, if you're saving from your paycheck, or used My Pay to access part of your paycheck early, we’ll adjust your paycheck to account for these Perks before sending the rest to you. This process takes less than a minute, then your paycheck is on its way from Exhale to your bank account!
Are there any service fees?
No - Because Exhale is sponsored by your employer, we do not take any money out of your paycheck for service or operational fees. Your paycheck is your hard-earned money, and we want to make sure you’re getting the most of it.
Can I use Exhale without connecting my paycheck?
Depending on how your employer uses Exhale, you may be able to use a limited number of Perks without connecting your paycheck, such as tracking your bonuses or other awards. However, most of Exhale's Perks are customized to you and therefore require connecting your paycheck.
Even if you don’t want to use these Perks right away, you may still want to connect your paycheck to have instant access to any new benefits that become available.
