Heads up! In most cases, you shouldn't have to worry about importing employees. If you need to import additional employees from payroll, please feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to help. Or if you prefer to do this yourself, follow the steps below.
To import your employees from payroll to Exhale:
- If you haven't already, export a list of all employees from your payroll system. Your file should be in CSV format and include each employee's first name, last name, date of birth, email, phone, and start date. Exhale will safely ignore any other data included in the file.
- Log in to Exhale HQ
- From the menu, select Setup > Payroll Sync
- Look for the section labeled Imported, and click Edit (if you don't see this section, please contact Exhale Support)
- Upload your CSV file
- Click Sync now
Exhale will automatically add any new employees from the list, and check for updates to existing employees. You can review your employees by going to Employees > Manage Employees in Exhale HQ.
