A hold is an amount owed to Exhale that is automatically repaid from your paycheck over a period of time. You may see a hold in your Exhale account in the rare event you were mistakenly sent a higher amount than expected, or a duplicate paycheck.
It's important to note that you won’t be able to access My Pay or apply for an advance until the entire amount related to the hold has been transferred back to Exhale.
What do I need to do if I see a hold on my account?
By default, no action is required from you. Depending on the length of the hold, one or more of your upcoming paychecks will be adjusted to pay back the amount automatically. This means your paychecks will be smaller than usual until your hold is repaid in full.
I don't want money taken from my paycheck / I need access to Perks. What can I do?
You can opt to make a manual payment from your bank account to pay back your hold sooner. You may make as many manual payments as you'd like, and your automatic paycheck adjustments will be updated accordingly.
- If you manually repay part of your hold, your upcoming paycheck(s) will still be adjusted until the amount is paid back in full.
- If you manually repay your hold in full, your next paycheck(s) will not be affected and you will be able to access your Perks as soon as [the payment is settled].
How do I make a manual payment?
- Log in to Exhale and go to your Perks
- Locate your hold at the top of the Perks screen and select View hold
- Select Make a payment now
- Choose which bank account you'd like to repay from
- Select a payment amount. You can either choose the total outstanding balance or enter a custom amount.
- Select Make payment now
Your payment history is recorded in Exhale so you can keep track of how much you've paid and how much payment is remaining.
